LJA Engineering, Inc. Acquires GXT, LTD for Extended Telecommunications Services

LJA Engineering, Inc. (LJA), has acquired GXT, LTD (GXT), a Richardson-based company and pioneering telecommunications project design and management consultancy. With 54 employees, their specialties include telecommunications project management, interior/exterior plant engineering, jurisdictional permits, inspection services, as-built drawings, relationship development and negotiations. sales, configuration, installation and testing of equipment.

Michelle Lenker, who will continue as President of GXT, founded GXT in 2001 and built the company into a leading service provider for the telecommunications industry. With over 35 years in the telecommunications industry, she has held leadership positions at MCI Telecommunications, NorthStar Communications and Exelon Infrastructure Services. Prior to her experience in the private enterprise sector, she designed and implemented voice and data communications systems for companies ranging in size from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 100 companies encompassing a national reach.
