Carousel Digital Signage Provides Displays to Tennessee Telecommunications Company
Carousel Digital Signage, a digital signage network provider, will promote Highland Telephone Cooperative’s products and services through displays at company offices in Tennessee, according to a company press release.
Highland Telephone Cooperative, a member-owned telecommunications company, offers telephone, high-speed Internet and cable television. With the help of Carousel Digital Signage, Highland customers can monitor screens as they pay their bills and consult with company representatives.
The company wanted to create an inviting atmosphere after reopening from the COVID-19 shutdown, which would encourage customers to resume transactions and consultations at their local offices, according to the statement.
HTC installed the screens in the corporate lobby, hoping to engage customers as they entered the building. Each lobby features a large-screen TV mounted facing the main entrance and Apple TVs configured by HTC as media players with the help of Jamf, a Carousel Digital Signage partner specializing in helping businesses use Apple products .
HTC uses the Carousel Cloud CMS to create and manage content for three channels, which includes animated videos of HTC and affiliate logos, dynamic product and service pricing, customer payment options and third-party feeds, including including local weather reports.
“I had the entire system securely installed on the network and ready to go within hours, and the user interface was so intuitive that no training was required,” said Daniel Williams, network engineer at HTC, in the press release. “The software is flexible to the point that we can customize the appearance of screens and are not limited to standard templates. Anyone who has used a web-based UI builder will have no problem creating and managing content in Carousel Cloud.”
Carousel Digital Signage’s partnership with Jamf helped Williams, who had leveraged the company’s services to manage Apple devices from HTC.
“We work with Macs and PCs in our offices, and Jamf has made it easy to manage our entire Apple ecosystem in a mixed environment,” he said. “Their ability to convert Apple TVs into media players reduces our equipment costs, and Apple TV is a perfect complement for Carousel Cloud networks because they are essentially computing devices.”
HTC’s digital signage network is still in its infancy, but Williams hopes to grow by providing corporate communications content to company employees.
“We use static bulletin boards at the majority of our sites to distribute information to employees,” he said. “We plan to use Carousel Cloud to distribute this information in a more streamlined way in the near future.”
